Dillon's favorite dog treats
Dillon loves his treats. What puppy dog doesn't? But he LOVES his peanut butter treats- next to cardboard, peanut butter is his favorite food ever. (Yeah, I don't get the cardboard thing either...) I found a great recipe for peanut butter dog treats that makes D-man do his crazy 4-feet-off-the-ground-jump. Cheap, homemade, tasty. What more can a Black Lab ask for?
Dillon's Jump-For-Joy Dog treats:
1. Grab your favorite peanut butter, white flour, wheat flour, oil and water.
2. Combine 3/4 cup of white flour, 3/4 cup of wheat flour, 1/4 cup of peanut butter, 1/2 cup of water, 1 tbsp of oil. Mix.
3. Now there are 2 choices:
a. Roll out the dough and cut into small squares or use a cookie cutter.
b. Pinch off small chunks and put on baking sheet. (Guess which one I usually go for?)
4. Bake in 350 oven for 20 minutes. Turn off oven and leave treats in there to dry out completely. Otherwise mold might happen.
5. Store in airtight container and watch your dog look at you with adoring puppy dog eyes.
